The legacy of Joe Strummer (1952-2002) continues to live on, with the summer 2007 release of Fender’s new Joe Strummer Telecaster, modeled after the beat up and battle-hardened ’66 Tele® he wielded as leader of “the only band that matters”—seminal Brit punk commando unit the Clash.
Fender and acclaimed artist Shepard Fairey (OBEY) collaborated on the new guitar’s limited edition Joe Strummer Telecaster customization kit, which includes stencils and stickers inspired by the custom designs Strummer decorated many of his instruments with. The kit comes in a classic 12” album cover featuring graphics by Fairey and photography by Bob Gruen and will accompany the first 1,500 guitars.

Hedi Slimane’s Stage project commenced four years ago and captured the emerging new rock scene in the U.K.
This is a movement which could be as strong, prolific, and spontaneous as the birth of punk in 1977 and this is the first book which intimately lays it bare, from the inside of Pete Doherty’s bedroom to explosive stage performances and riotous fans.
Birth of a Cult is about music, and poetry, and is also a tribute to a whole new generation of fans.
Marc Jacobs did for the Louis Vuitton Monogram partnered with Takashi Murakami, the designer has now done for Visionaire.
Visionaire 53, sponsored by British car manufacturer MINI, is dedicated to the theme of sound. The 34-page issue consists of five 12-inch vinyl records.
It also comes packaged with two CDs with all of the sound content gathered digitally from such musicians as David Byrne, Courtney Love, Kim Gordon, Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran, and Cat Power's Chan Marshall; artists Robert Wilson, Yoko Ono, Doug Aitken, and Sylvie Fleury; deejays Trevor Jackson, Towa Tei, and Michel Gaubert; and designers Alexander McQueen and Helmut Lang.
Garni started in 1997 in Tokyo, as an accessory label and has now diversified by adding more lifestyle-oriented products to their lineup. These guys also started a recording label to further their love for music.
No hype, no nonsense. Just some Japanese handmade versatile goodness.
Garni will be exclusive to Know It Nothing in Singapore.

“INSPIRED BY THE MUSIC AND MANY LIVES OF BOB DYLAN” reads the opening title. Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger and Christian Bale all take a crack at him; Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams and Charlotte Gainsbourg appear as some of his women. But it is Blanchett as Dylan circa 1965 (think D.A. Pennebaker’s DONT LOOK BACK) and as the post-acoustic guitar rocker, who captures our imagination and runs with it at breakneck speed. As the emaciated, cigarette-smoking, nasal-voiced enfant terrible, his hair backlit to suggest a depraved angel, he torments journalists, fans and girlfriends alike. Appearances by imaginary versions of Allen Ginsberg, Edie Sedgwick, Suze Rotolo, Bobby Neuwirth, Bobby Seale, Albert Grossman and Joan Baez round out Haynes’s fever dream of what it means to be Bob Dylan.
Watch the trailer here:
All the way from Birmingham, England, NAPALM DEATH continue to demonstrate that their work is far from done. Formed in 1982, NAPALM DEATH are the legitimate forefathers of grindcore and achieved a legendary status already. Passionately anti-war, pro-animal rights, and outspoken on social issues, the band never shy from standing up for their beliefs. And they're coming again to Jakarta.

10.Deep: Respect Due
Tatanka, Iyotaka, Hinmaton-Yalaktit, Goyathlay, Makhpia-Sha. Respect due. Without getting too preachy, this belt-printed tee pays homage to these Native American figures who resisted the tyranny of the US government in their time.
