School of Women

School of Women is a brand new girls' line based out of L.A. but originally conceived in the back seat of a black convertible spider in 1962 by Georgette Malbesee and Jean Pierre Lachemescouilles through the cold smoke of a pair of unfiltered cigarettes.
Shortly after chucking these butts, the beatnik pair gave birth to style. A new style only to be honed, not bought. Crafted, not borrowed. Sewn, not printed.

Acid Wash Jeans

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

There seems to be no doubt that acid wash or grungy jeans are making a come back. Although they may be one of the least fondly remember fashions from the 1980s, the fact that they are the polar opposite of the plain, dark jeans that have been popular for the last few years makes them look both retro and modern at the same time. Unlike the 80s acid wash jeans the new versions come in cuts and washes that are far more flattering to today’s discerning denim tastes.
New acid wash jeans are being produced by brands such as Acne (see above) and Cheap Monday.

Fade

A year 2000 graduate of the studio Bercot in Paris, Oliver Bobin aka Fade, likes to develop a certain taste for symbols and mixes without any hesitation esoteric references with his very own designs.
With his brand, Fade, Oliver Bobin has indeed created what he calls himself a 'secret society', which has today attracted a crowd of reknowed artists and singers including worldwide espected band The Kills, Plasticines, Poni Hoax or even French artist Adrienne Pauly.

Billy The Kid

Billy The Kid is a sensitive and humorous verite portrait of Billy, a 15-year-old outsider growing up in a small town Maine. Billy appears, in many ways, like other teenage boys. He's into heavy metal and martial arts, is desperate to find a girlfriend, and aspires to a career as an actor and rock star. But in most other ways Billy is an outsider. His self-confessed “issues” can send him into rages, and he often retreats into the world of his imagination – a world of superheroes, poets and fictional characters. Supported by a mother who encourages his unique intelligence and unflagging sincerity, Billy is a disarmingly candid guide to his own self-discovery.
Won Best Documentary at the 2007 SXSW, Los Angeles and Edinburgh film festivals and the Audience Award at the Melbourne film festival.

"I started out to do A Small Collection to address the entire picture: photography, illustrations, styling, clothes," says Alyson Fox, an Austin-based designer who made a name for herself as an illustrator and photographer. Fox launched her modestly titled line three months ago as an experimental foray into fashion while maintaining a distinctly artistic eye, comprising her look-book of short videos and illustrations to extend her overall aesthetic.

LOVE Story Film

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
LOVE Story is the story of LA band LOVE & their legendary frontman Arthur Lee. Their tale is one of the great untold rock & roll stories. One of the first mixed race rock bands, the dark vision of their music set them apart from the utopian ideals of the 'Flower Power' generation and the 'Summer of Love' era.
LOVE Story covers their journey from the beginning, to the present day. From their origins at Dorsey High School in South Los Angeles, to their disintegration in 1968, and their continuing relevance to this day.
