April 77: F/W 10-11 Denim Collection

FW 10-11 collection sounds like a return to basics for APRIL77. Whispered by a mysterical runic text, the collection takes place somewhere between the nordic mythology and the occult folklore. Washes - raw black denim, used black denim, raw blue - are references to Nature, authentic and uncontrollable : rubb your jean on a tree bank and you will get the Stomp, polish your black coated denim and you will have the Warsaw, or find the Gene, a homemade rinsed indigo. Joey and Dictator, the 2 cults jeans of APRIL77, remain in this new collection, and the new hit comes with the Ride, a tappered fit. And for the very first time, APRIL77 adapts its basics to women, the waist band becoming perfectly shaped for women's hips. The famous androgynous Joey becomes Joey Lady, while a new style, the Jett, comes in a feu-de-plancher extra skinny fit.

The Runic alphabet, graphic thread, set up the mystical genesis of this FW 10-11 collection.

Anti Sweden Jeans on Swedish Television

The Swedish TV show Kobra was investigating what it is that now makes the Norwegian people look at Sweden as their little brother, when for centuries it used to be the other way around. What could be the reason for this shift? The Swedes at Kobra obviously made the trip to the Norwegian jeans brand Anti Sweden's office in Oslo in order to get to the bottom of the Swedish-hate phenomenon.



There they soon discovered that the black in the jeans have nothing to do with all the Norwegian oil. On the contrary, the color is linked to Norway's biggest cultural export, Black Metal music. And it is there that Anti Sweden finds their inspiration. The Swedish show host felt both sad and scared to know that there was so much hate towards Swedes within their Norwegian neighbors.

Anti Sweden: Claws

The True Norwegian Black Denim brand Anti Sweden who have set out to put rebellion back in jeans are out with an art meet music concept when launching their new t-shirt collection called "Claws." Justin Bartlett is the man behind the motif on the tank top while Minni Havas, a famous Finnish illustrator have made a portrait of Runhild Gammelsæter famous from her band Thorrs Hammer and her co-labs with Stephen O´Malley from Sunn0))). Anti Sweden have printed a limited edition of 100 posters, all signed by Runhild and on sale on their online store. The first 20 orders who buy their new t-shirt will get the poster included for free! The poster measures 1000 x 666 mm. More info here.

Sir Dandy is best known as an artist and musician. His passion in art and music starts with only ballpoint doodles and meaningless lyrics, but thus were only small starts. Sir Dandy lives to play music and draw, not the other way around. "Death/Glory" will be incorporates Sir dandy iconic drawings which especially made on 16DS collection from range of limited edition denim jacket and jeans.

Cagi is our bestfriend, after her return from London, she spends most of time by busy taking care her child, drawing, designing, and painting for several art exhibitions. Her subtle movement has inspired 16DS to do collaborative projects. After previous amazing collaboration project, "Damsel in Distress", 16DS continue their engagement for the love of fashion.

Suite 16DS is grow out from influence from the beauty of her surroundings. Cagi's collection borrowed from cultural feminine references which adorned unbalanced emotions, love cliches, overdo makeups, or for short.. the chaos. The collection itself will be present in various dress and denim that fits adult women's ego, Suite that suit you.
