GOODFELLAS: "The Rebirth Of Cool"

Photobucket

The name GOODFELLAS was inspired by the 1990s movie with the same title. A drama that injects your adrenal glands, with the thrill of living and walking the streets with limitless power in a world that’s powered by violence. On the streets, a new generation carries on an old tradition. Now, GOODFELLAS is bringing this tradition to your doorstep in form of their clothing line. Hard-hitting and stylish. That’s what GOODFELLAS is all about.

Vahada: "Secret Garden"

Photobucket

Once in not an often while, you find a precious moment with your intimate self. Spoiling yourself in the warmth of the sun, to walk in a park with the wind breeze in your hair. The kind of moments so private as if you need a secret passageway or keyword just to experience it. Your own personal "Secret Garden" if you may call it, and Vahada provides you with the key.

Modernly styled cut, yet not leaving behind the signature detailed feminine style of Vahada. This time you can tell with the use of pleats, ribbons and flower-shaped drapery techniques. A collaboration with House of Jealouxy also took form in recycled accessories using leftover materials from the collection.

See the entire collection here.

A Child Of The Jago: Zenarchy - AW11

A Child Of The Jago do not consider themselves a fashion company. Their total disregard for fashion trends and fashion predictions set them apart with a distinctly unique view. Their design process involves more “what do we want to wear ourselves” rather than what do we think is a current fashionable trend. This is where Britain’s real heritage lies...a heritage that has been swept under the cultural carpet and hidden behind a smokescreen of pseudo British tradition manufactured in China for the mass market.

Simon Armitage and Joseph Corré aka A Child Of The Jago presented their new Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection, The Oath Of The Canting Crew, at a disused Victorian warehouse next door to their famous East End boutique, followed by a dance-off between the tribes of the Jago from the east and the buffalo gals of Worlds End in the west until the early hours. A good time was had by all to the sounds of rock and roll, rhythm and blues and disco classics. See the entire collection here!

SOU BRETTE: UNKNOWN WATERS

While watching the 1953 Alexandr Ptushko film "Sadko", Sou Brette's Muqliza Imroni was thoroughly inspired and awed by the golden touch of its incredibly imaginative coloring, splendid characters, and breathtaking portraiture of the underwater kingdom. She wanted to create a collection drawn solely from the imagery of an underwater fairytale.

Unknown Waters was born from this illusive innocence situated beneath the surface of the sea.

Unknown Waters contributes a softer, more organic form to Sou Brette's usual tough, geometric-shaped jewelry. Crystal clear resin filled with faux pearl inlays, ropes dressed in textured marble print cotton in colors representing an underwater realm; have all been carefully chosen to create an honest and personal dream-like collection.
