Das Moth is the inner spirit of Timothy Sullivan, 1/2 of the now defunct yacht dance, feel good group Damn Arms [Bang Gang 12 Inches/Modular]. July 2009 saw Das Moth leave Australia and relocate to the insanity that is Shibuya, Tokyo. Where he is putting the finishing touches on his debut 12". Aiming for release in mid 2010 through the exclusive boutique label, Cutters Records (K.I.M, Midnight Juggernauts, Knightlife). The international indie/dance darlings Cut Copy have put up their hand to release the debut 12" on their very own label. Expect something smooth, romantic and something you'll hopefully get lucky too.
After having a residency at the now legendary club, 3rd Class in Melbourne for 2 years. Das Moth has played his disco themed love sets along side Breakbot (Ed Banger), M83, Moulinex [Disco Texas], Van She Tech, Cut Copy, Knightlife, Midnight Juggernauts. Journeyed to all corners of the globe from Sao Paulo to London to Singapore.
"Tokio Disko" is a night Das Moth is presenting along with the super elite-underground bar in Tokyo, Le Baron De Paris. Guests have been Jean Nippon (Institubes Records) & KIM (The Presets). He has put together a "mixtape" for the night. Check it Big Stereos post here!
