LN-CC
When it comes to innovative retailing, London never disappoints. Launching online in late August, LN-CC is the culmination of ideas that have been incubating between John Skelton and Dan Mitchell in recent years. Skelton has considerable pedigree as a premium level buyer for oki-ni and Harrods. Mitchell is equally recognised for his discerning musical taste through his Bad Passion club nights. Together they have put together an appealing menu of options.
LN-CC isn't so much a retail site but more an evolving platform of curated ideas encompassing clothing, music and art. Cutting edge labels, such as Rick Owens and Damir Doma are positioned next to obscure Japanese labels.
They have enlisted art book specialist, Conor Donlon to edit his sizeable collection for LN-CC. A dedicated sound system is being installed by legendary sound engineer, Mickey Boyle and will be used to host private events with visiting DJs.
And an art space is also underway for exhibitions - anything from photography to tattoo work. As Skelton declares, 'It's not about the products themselves, but how they relate to our house style.' Soon after the website is operational, a physical space - designed by Gary Card - will open, initially on an appointments basis.
